Our council is an active one! Our efforts are focused on
supporting our community physically, financially, and spiritually.
 |
Throughout the year, we put on a number of
fundraisers,
including monthly parish breakfasts, fish frys during Lent,
our annual garage sale, and, of course, the Tootsie Roll
campaign.
|
|
Money raised through these activities support our
parish.
For example, the Knights have been instrumental in
raising funds to equip the kitchen in the new parish hall.
|
|
In addition, we support many worthy local
charities,
including Habitat for Humanity, Manhattan Catholic
Schools, CASA, and Rachel's Vineyard.
|
|
Our council participates in community service in
other
ways, as well. Examples include our involvement in the
Adopt-A-Highway program and the service of our 4th
Degree Honor Guard.
|
|
The Knights also encourage the spiritual growth
of our
members. We organize and participate in a monthly
prayer vigil for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in
our parish.
